THE STORY
The child is born into a world of plenty. The fruit, the flowers, the lush green grass, etc., represent the beauty, abundance and security that surround our childhood. The tree represents shelter from everything that faces us later in life.
The steep rocky mountain is the long, hard road we face in life. It's all that awaits us. At the peak is the ultimate goal or whatever it is we are seeking at the time: financial success; peace; happiness; overcoming a terrible illness; or overcoming grief.
But beyond that peak is yet another hill and another valley before us. The mist from the storm shrouds that future in mystery.
The Storm represents the storms that face us in life. Whether financial setbacks, loss of a loved one or any adversity to be overcome. However, storms come and storms go and the sun will shine again and, with the sun, will come the rainbow which represents God's covenant with man. The message is that God will see us through, no matter what.
Behind the storm clouds is the new moon. This signifies the rebirth of the spirit.
The lake represents the still water of peace and contentment which we are continually seeking in our daily lives.
Finally, the design of the painting is a circular one which is symbolic of God and the universe.
The painting utilizes symbolism to explain the various cycles experienced
in life. The image measures 19-3/8" x 15-5/16" with the title and
description printed beneath. There is a 2" border all around, making
it suitable for framing. It is printed in full-color on acid free paper
coated with a special non-fingerprint varnish.
